Cosplay to Career
Costuming that began with not liking what was on the shelves of stores has evolved into a hobby and skill set. Though I am not a professional cosplayer, I grew my passion for design for costumes into a career by making projects for my portfolio. To me, working on costumes and props was never a waste of time, even if I wasn’t doing it for school or for work.
Design of all kinds all starts with an idea, and bringing ideas to life that people can use is an amazing feeling. Whether it’s layout on a page, armor for a costume, or assets in a video game, I believe that the skill of design can be adapted to create anything, so long as you can think it.
